Baby Shower

We had Camden's shower yesterday. He was such a good baby. I love the picture of my little girl and Heather's son. Amy had lots of time to hold the baby and he woke up for a while. Sharon made the cutest cupcakes. The food and friends were great, even though the weather was hot and muggy. Big N worked hard on the yard and it looked great, even though we stayed in the house where it was cool.
First Grade Brings Responsibility.
My first grader is taking it all in. Full day school for one has been quite the adjustment for not only Sass, but her care givers. They miss her.Because of the nut allergy she feels more comfortable taking lunch from home, which is fine, so far we have only lost our lunch box twice.
On the second day of school she refused to go in, REFUSED. We sat at the drop off point until the cars started honking. In the parking lot we argued back and forth because I wasn't walking her in, we didn't do it in kindergarten. I told her if the bell rang and she didn't go in we would go home and she would miss out on school that day and not be able to do anything fun at home. Next thing I knew there was a lady knocking on my window, it was the principal and she asked for some"special help" this persuaded our big first grader to get out of the car.
Mrs. Geddes(pronounced like lettuce) is her teacher.
A fun morning at the park

Starting School

School starts this coming week. We've had a fun summer. The best part was our family trip to Stanley ID. I posted about already, but this is my favorite picture of the kids I have taken in a while. It was taken with my phone, so not bad. It shows what they look like as the enter 1st and 8th grade. Crooked teeth, braces both in need of a hair cut and bath.
Tonight Sass wanted to do a trial run of her bike ride home from school to our good friend Bertaboo's'. She rode to the school and then to Bertaboo's without any hesitation what so ever. She is getting big. I'm happy we have someone to carpool/walk/ride bikes with, we still need a little exercise right? We stopped at the school for a minutes to swing.

Bud
Mom's oldest brother Bud passed on Monday. He was a amazing man and uncle. He loved me so much. He loved my husband and always asked about him. I know he was proud of who I married. He loved my kids and told me often how well behaved they are, which is a great compliment.
He and my Aunt Marian have a great marriage, they also support me in everything I do. It's fun having them live down the street. We were able to have dinner a few times this spring and that makes me happy. Go Navy!!
