Lake Powell 2012

I have lived in Utah my whole life and never, ever been to Lake Powell.

The kids and I had a great chance to go with Kara's Father-in-law Craig on his house boat.

We had such a great spot. We were close to the Bullfrog Marina, close to a beach for the kids to play and hike. We could have a fire at night. It was beautiful.

I am super proud of Cassidy and Coby. They are great swimmers, and have great attitudes to try new things. The kids were well behaved and helped out around the boat.

I am fortunate to have a great friend in Kara. She makes everything FUN

Grandpa Craig helped Cassidy with her fishing. She is such an awesome girl. Love her.

The kids had heard rumors that people jump off of high cliffs. We took a trip to some cliffs and both my children were way more brave than me. I think the jump the took was around 35 feet.

I knew they would both do it too. They are great kids to be around.

Kara and Coby on the pretty ride to Rainbow Bridge.

Cass and her bestie, Malik.

This was such a great trip for me and my kiddos. It is the best to discover something new in life and have a great experience.

Capitol Reef

Kara has her house in Fremont and shared it with me, Shannie Sharon and Tara. We had a great time and had great food too.
A great trip to Capitol Reef with the girls.  This hike was Chimney Rock Loop Trail.  It was kinda hard. About 7 miles round trip with the first part pretty strenuous, switchbacks and a steep climb down. The views of the Chimney Rock and Panoramas were worth it

It was great to have a group of girls that could do the harder stuff and keep each other going when it got a little hard. Tara was well prepared with a first aid kit to aid blisters.

We did another hike at Golden Throne but I guess I didn't get a picture of that one. It wasn't quite as hard but it was challanging it was about 4-5 miles round trip.
We took a walk at Capitol Gorge as well.  It was a walk through a narrow wash.

Scottish Laddys

Scottish stout (rootbeer)  for the girls. Cheers!

McAffee and Fife are Scottish names so this was a fun evening to see the fun festive and cutural things
