Going through the change

My daughter took these pictures I felt like having my own blog-post. I've heard it all the past few weeks, "gentlemen prefer blonds"," blonds have more fun"etc.. I do like my dark hair . I'm just being curious here.

Mining and Railroad Museum-Carbon County Trip

My In-Laws love Price, UT- and all the surrounding areas. Two years ago we took a weekend trip with them to see the dinosaur museum. This time they wanted to show the kids the history of Carbon County. We ate at Groggs, a great brewery in Helper.

We went to the Western Mining and Railroad Museum. Built in 1914 it was first a hotel built by a multi-ethnic group of businessmen. This building was later purchased by the Rio Grande Railroad to house crews. In 1982 Helper City bought the building and made it into a museum. The Tween is studying Utah history this year; we learned so much about mining. My mother- in-law made a cool list of things to see in Carbon County. If you love antiques this museum is worth a visit. The kids had fun swimming at the hotel. The drive down was gorgeous, but the drive home, BLIZZARD.

Spring Skiing

I think Sundance has seen it's last few days... the snow was slushy but, we've had a fun year. The girls brought their "Mardi Gras" beads to toss in the bead tree. I love that my six year old can ski with a back pack now. My brother and mom came up to watch and mom treated us to a nice lunch.

Saturday, Saturday

I know, I still have snowflakes on my blog(AMY!!)... unlike everyone else I love the snow. I am not ready to say goodbye yet. Tomorrow I am taking my family along with my niece skiing. I am so excited.

Today we worked in our yard. My better half N went to the landscaping place, Woodstuff in Spring ville and brought home a large load of dirt. It was so great to see C-Marie with her gardening gloves helping her dad load dirt into our newly curbed flower beds(she is feeling better from her recent procedure).I have decided to plant peas, along with marigolds soon. After that we will do tomatoes, squash, zucchini,cucumbers and peppers. I am loving Sabbath, the dog more than ever these days, but I may have to get angry if he lays in my garden, which is the first thing he did after we smoothed all the new, nice dirt around...NO SAB!

I went to the gym this morning with my precious mother who has turned herself into a gym rat.. since Jan-09. We did treadmill and the water aerobics, at first I wasn't to thrilled to go to the gym first thing Saturday morning, but as we were driving to the gym I looked over at her with her cute bag and realized how lucky I was to be right there in that moment with her. We had so much fun.I am so proud of her my heart swells. I want to go again very soon.

5K run for red

I have never enjoyed running. At all. So when my buddy Shar asked me to do a 5-k I thought why not?? Shar doesn't approve of blogging, so it is good mine is a private blog, and we can all keep it quiet that I posted some pictures right??? Anyway for not doing much training, other than our weekly walk at the track, and my skiing and biking that I fit in, I think we did well. Shar took 88th of 354 and I was 93rd.

frenectomy

A frenum is a fold of tissue or muscle that connects the lips, cheek or tongue to the jawbone. A frenectomy is a procedure to remove one of these folds of tissue.

Sometimes a frenum is attached between the two upper front teeth. This can be removed with a labial frenectomy. This condition usually is noticed in children after their permanent upper front teeth have come in. Sometimes it is evident even before the baby teeth come in. If the frenum is attached too far down on the gum, it can create a space between the two front teeth. Even if an orthodontist closes the gap, the frenum can push the teeth apart again. The frenum also can be attached in such a way that it prevents the baby teeth from coming in. In this case, the condition would be noticed sooner.

I really like our new dentist, but when he said this will be no big deal- maybe I shouldn't have taken it so lightly. We are home from the dentist and it was quite the ordeal.

Kindergarten Life

Big girls are busy girls. C- went on a surprise outing with cousins Gen Gen and Anna lynn. They went to build a bear and made a custom bear for Annalynn- Button is the bears name and she has a wheel chair. C thinks it is the coolest thing EVER-just like Annalynn. These 2 little ladies have so much fun.

Valentines day was fun. I helped with the kindergarten party(love the heart shirt). We made lots of cupcakes for the class party
