On Valentines Day I knew

I love Valentines day. I know a lot of people think it is over rated . But it has a different meaning to me. 16 years ago this amazing person asked me out on a date. I was a single mom, so of course I had no plans on Valentines Day. When he asked me if I had plans on Friday, I said, "um no, it's Valentines day" I remember it as if it were today. He said, "well what a better day to go!" We went to a movie and dinner at Chilis. He brought 3 carnations to the door and had them behind his back when I answered. It is the only time I have ever seen him wear a watch. He kissed me when he left that night and I knew I had met my soul mate. I have never looked at another boy. We were married 3 years later. I love him soo much.

Tonight he is working a graveyard shift and I don't get to see him. I walked into a clean house tonight with dinner prepared and ready to go. I walked into the bathroom and the tub is filled with rose petals with a note saying dinner and "a bath for my love, have a nice night". He's the best and I miss him. He also left a rose for Cassidy and a note for the kids asking them to be good tonight and let me take my bath. What a great husband and father. 16 years and I have loved every moment.

I am not trying to brag, I just want to remember it.
