2014 Back to School Photos

Cassidy started 6th Grade at Sunset View Elem. Her teacher is Mrs. Collins. She loves school, loves working in the lunch room, playing soccer, softball, the piano and bass. Her best friends are Daniella and of course Grace. She is looking forward to being a sixth grader.

I can't believe I have a college student. Coby started the automotive program at UVU. He has a pretty strict scehdule from 7 am to 12 noon most days. He is still working at the Orem Mall for Zumies a few nights a week. He gets to buy tools instead of books which is nice. He has longer hair than I do ( but it's the same color..ha ha). We are happy Coby chose to go to college.

Trip To St. George 2014

The last few years we have tried to take our girls trip to St. George. This year we saw Wizard of OZ, ate in Kayenta, Hiked around in Zions, and of course school shopped. It is always so much fun.

Coast Guard Day.

We found out that Coast Guard Day is August 4th. My mom wanted to take my dad his flag and remember him on this day. After I got off work we went to pick up the flag. It was something I know my dad would be happy about. It is nice to have occasions to celebrate and remember my dad. Visiting him is important and I am glad we continue to make the effort. I feel better afterwards. Close to him. Thank you dad for your service. I know you were proud of your service in the US Coast Guard

Gina and Pauls house in Park Ward

This is where the house my dad spent most of his childhood. It was demolished the last week of July 2014. Utah Valley Regional Hospital bought the land. Shannon and I stopped by to take a look at what was my grandma and grandpas house. It was sad. I know my dad would have been devestated, so I am glad he wasn't here to see it. I took some bricks and put them in my yard at home. My grandma loved her roses and her cute little barn in the back that my grandpa built for her Virginia City village. I know my dad pulled a few of his cool cars in the driveway, and we have countless photos on the front porch. I guess it's the ending of an ERA. Miss my dad.

Birthday 2014

I turned 37 on July 14th. It was a great day. Me, mom and Cassidy went shopping at K-mart, which is closing down soon. Then Cassidy and I went to the dollar movie to see the first Divergent Movie. We then met up with Coby, Nate and Joyce at Carabbas for dinner, and then home for a cake that Nate bought at  Harmons. I love my little family.
