Headstone is in

It is real. I have to take deep breaths. Memorial Art in Springville put my dad's headstone in the Provo Cemetary yesterday. My mom, Marty and I went  the day after my birthday and designed the stone. I am very pleased with the way it turned out, it was my idea to put the flag in the middle. The clinging Ivy, which is an Elks tradition was Marty's choice. My mom wanted it simple, but with a brownish granite because my dads favorite color was brown. The Coast Guard symbol is something that is fairly new, but available to vetrans and my dad would have loved it. It has everything on it that was important to my dad, his family, a symbol of his freinds and of course his service to our country. My mom is happy that it is done in time for her wedding anniversary. Now she has a place to take my dad a flower. Love you dad.
