Capitol Reef

My gals and I took a trip to Capitol Reef this past week. My friend Kara's family has a house in Fremont, which is in Wayne county and about 25 minutes away from the Capitol Reef park. We went for 3 or 4 bike rides and a great hike. We stayed in this cute little house. It was a little bit different than our usual trips. We usually go somewhere like Vegas. We could grab treats out of the fridge if we we were hungry, we had horses in the yard and the world as our playground. It was fun to sit on the porch and have a drink and listen to the quiet... it was really quiet. Kara, Amy, Sharon, Shannon, and Shanna along with myself make up the photo above. Kara is really into bike racing these days, and Shanna is a spin class instructor along with bike enthusiast. They are hard core but I like to think I can semi keep up with them on the rides around town. I learned a lot- I know my bodies limits, I know my way around Wayne County, and I now know how to change those big long sprinklers out in the fields you see as you travel down the road. It was fun to be with everyone even if for a day or two. We did have a little drama, Shannon had car problems in Sigurd and had to leave her car(more to come) I hope it works out. We ate at a great restaurant in Torrey named Cafe Diablo. I would recommend spending the dough for a nice dinner if your ever in the area. I love these ladies and I hope we can do it again next year.
