My In-Laws love Price, UT- and all the surrounding areas. Two years ago we took a weekend trip with them to see the dinosaur museum. This time they wanted to show the kids the history of Carbon County. We ate at Groggs, a great brewery in Helper.
We went to the Western Mining and Railroad Museum. Built in 1914 it was first a hotel built by a multi-ethnic group of businessmen. This building was later purchased by the Rio Grande Railroad to house crews. In 1982 Helper City bought the building and made it into a museum. The Tween is studying Utah history this year; we learned so much about mining. My mother- in-law made a cool list of things to see in Carbon County. If you love antiques this museum is worth a visit. The kids had fun swimming at the hotel. The drive down was gorgeous, but the drive home, BLIZZARD.

Nothin' like a little Utah history baby. And are those Golden locks I see falling out of that conductor cap?
Lacy - thanks for inviting me to your blog! Your are so beautiful and you have an adorable family. You are one of Jed's friends that will always be dear to my heart and I enjoy knowing how well your doing. I am wondering if you have any pictures of Jed from way back when? I am trying to collect any form his friends that we as a family may not have.
Hey if you want to, I have a blog, it's not private and you can go check it out millymooart.blogspot.com
Take care and lets keep in touch! Megan
Looks like it was a fun trip. Hope Cass feels better soon. Your blonde looks great!
Ah, good ole Carbon County - where the entire Wilde side hail from. One of these days I need to get back there, if only for that antique shopping!!! ;)
Sounds like a fun trip! It's so nice that you always take little trips and plan fun outings with the whole family. I wish my Dad was a little more willing like Allen. I totally want to see all of your blond hair-what a fun change!
